Steps in the Journey: Fundraiser the First

They say every journey begins with a single step. Well this feels like a leap off a cliff. I have never been in a situation that required me to raise money but now I have laid out before me a reason to raise money: a reason, a passion, a life. That is our child waiting for us, and for you little one, we are taking that leap.

So let’s begin.

We have decked out our recently acquired Christmas Tree with some pretty special, handmade ornaments. Each ornament is hand numbered by the ever talented Lisa Clow and adorned with a charm. Most of the charms are birds, specifically a homing pigeon. Because these ornaments are bringing our son or daughter, home. The number on the ornament is the cost of the ornament: number 16 costs $16 and so forth. They are numbered 1-150. If we sold all 150 ornaments, we would raise $11,000. This would jump start our adoption to help with all the initial fees occurring as soon as the first paper is signed; such as the application fee, the home study and then our agency, Children of All Nations, groups fees into chunks and this would also help cover the first agency fee.

Will you take this leap with us and add one of these ornaments to your tree this year? Remembering every year as you hang it on your Christmas tree that you helped bring a child home. You can email me: emi.s.curtis@gmail.com or Franklin: franklin.g.cutis@gmail.com or PM us. We will send you our address for you to mail us a check for the amount of your ornament. Make sure your return address is on your letter and we will mail back your ornament. These donations are not tax deductible, however, if you would like to make a tax deductible donation, click on the homing pigeon on this page that says donate, you will be taken to a site called Pure Charity, where donations will be paid directly to our agency.

Thank you, dear friends and family for the support you have already showered on us. We are so very excited to watch our Lord at work, bringing our child home.

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 ESV
